The electric car maker, Tesla, has been known for being a bit of a innovator, but now it seems like a little old fashioned.
According to a report by The Verge, Tesla is looking to change the way it installs electrical wiring.
The Verge reports that Tesla will be replacing the wiring that runs to the battery pack in its Model S and Model X. The report says that this is a much smaller part of the car than the battery and it doesn’t require the same amount of power to operate.
Tesla says that the wiring for the Model X and Model S will be replaced with something that uses less power, and this will also save the company money.
Tesla’s move comes as a lot of carmakers are experimenting with how they might install electric cars.
Last year, Tesla sold off its manufacturing and distribution of the Model S in an effort to sell cars as a service rather than a product.
Tesla is also testing its own battery pack, but it’s not clear whether this will lead to any changes in the way the company sells cars.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
